After a whirlwind tour of lounges at Heathrow’s Terminal 4, which included the Saudia Lounge, the Blush Lounge, and the Plaza Premium T4 lounge, I finally settled into my final lounge, the Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge. This lounge not only surprised me, but it gave me my first glimpse into what many of these Middle Eastern carriers offer their passengers, and I must say I was impressed by the quality.

Today, I entered the Falcon Gold Lounge by paying a $43 USD fee, despite being an Air France passenger en route to Paris. I had tried to pay for access to the Etihad and Saudia lounges, but was turned away. Considering this price point is similar to what is asked at the Plaza Premium, this is a fantastic option.
Atmosphere & Seating
Upon entering, similar to the Saudia Lounge, you can just tell that it is a premium lounge. The decor and ambiance have been carefully and tastefully considered.
The lounge is approximately 6500 square feet with space for 120 guests. A few guests were present when I arrived, but plenty of space.
There was also a reserved or VIP area.
There were several seats by the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Which of course meant you got great views of the birds outside.
It was so quiet and spacious in the lounge, I really felt like I had found an oasis after going 0-3 with my previous lounge visits.
It was a very comfortable lounge.
Food & Beverage
The Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge London Heathrow offers plenty of food for their guests, with a great variety of options.
The hot food spread is found at the rightmost end of the lounge. It included cumin rice, lamb birayani, Thai vegetable red curry, roasted vegetables, veggie chow mien noodles.
Additionally, they offered baked haddock rarebit, marinated grilled chicken, sriracha chicken wings, and zucchini tart, and vegetable samosas.
They also had a salad and cold food bar where they offered salads, chilled appetizers, desserts, cheeses, and fruit.
Additionally, a some blondies and cookies were on offer.
The beverage station had several infused waters and juices on offer, with plenty of soft drinks available in the mini fridges below.
Additionally, you could find an espresso machine, teas, and bottled water nearby as well.
Of course, you can’t forget about the impressive bar area. Here, you can order alcohol throughout your stay.
Unlike Saudia, Gulf Air is not a dry airline, so alcohol is available.
Wi-Fi & Connectivity
Complimentary WiFi was available, but I didn’t get a chance to try it.
Cleanliness & Facilities
The lounge was overall kept tidy and clean. The restroom, although it looked dim and worn, was very clean.
Additionally, accessible restrooms were available.
Amenities
The Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge London Heathrow offers shower suites and prayer rooms.
I didn’t get a chance to check out the amenities, but these are great to offer and similar to what you’d find at the Saudia Lounge LHR.
The shower suite was inside the men’s restroom, so I imagine there was also one in the women’s restroom.
Final Thoughts & Verdict: Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge London Heathrow Review
The Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge London Heathrow is also one of the best lounges offered at London Heathrow’s Terminal 4. Since Gulf Air seems to reserve this lounge for their elite frequent flyers and business class passengers, it truly is an exclusive experience, especially if you’re there during a non-peak time. The food was fantastic, the seating was plentiful and comfortable, and the overall vibes were fantastic. That being said:
- Is it worth arriving early to visit this lounge? Perhaps. It is a great spot to grab a bite and perhaps shower before your flight. The food was good, there is a variety, but it isn’t a la carte nor is it an experience worth rushing for. This is simply an excellent place to relax before a long flight.
- What sets it apart? The atmosphere. My entire time here was fantastic, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere that made me feel like I was in a very upscale lounge, and I loved it.
Overall Rating: 9.5/10
