A full evening of lounge-hopping ended with a quick visit to the Copa Club Bogota. This was the third and last stop on my tour, which included the Avianca VIP Lounge Gold and the American Express Lounge/El Dorado Lounge.

The Copa Club Bogota is a refreshed lounge that offers comfortable seating away from a hectic terminal, but leaves a lot of be desired on the food front.

Access Policy
- Entry process: You must present an eligible boarding pass and access method to enter.
- Who can enter: ConnectMiles Gold, Platinum, and Presidential members on a departing Copa Airlines flight; Star Alliance Gold members on a Star Alliance flight; Star Alliance International First or Business Class passengers; Copa Airlines Business Class passengers
- Guest policy: Guest access varies according to your status and ticketed cabin.
- Credit cards or memberships accepted: Priority Pass, Lounge Key, and eligible Diners Club and Lounge Pass holders
Today, I accessed the lounge with Star Alliance Gold thanks to my United Premier 1K status. I could have also entered with my Priority Pass through my U.S.-issued American Express Platinum card or my United Club membership that comes with my United Club Credit Card.
Atmosphere & Seating
Upon entering the lounge, you can tell that it is fairly new yet not spacious.
The lounge is 434 square meters with a capacity for 89 guests.
The main seating area is formed around this central sofa, which looks quite nice and modern. The blue tile used reminds me of the new Copa Club at Panama Tocumen airport.
The lounge featured a nice working area with semi-private desks.
There was also a TV room, where you had loungers to kick back and watch shows.
There was also a luggage storage area, but it seemed to be unused.
Food & Beverage
The Copa Club Bogota has some very limited snacks available, which honestly are quite disappointing. It is reminiscent of the old days of the Continental President’s Club and the United Red Carpet Club when the most you’d get was some prepackaged cheese and crackers. There were some fresh veggies available, which was nice, and a full service bar on the opposite side of the “buffet” area.
Wi-Fi & Connectivity
Complimentary WiFi was available but I didn’t get to try it.
Cleanliness & Facilities
The lounge was overall kept tidy and clean.
The restrooms specifically were quite clean and modern!
Amenities
The Copa Club doesn’t have any additional amenities to offer.
Final Thoughts & Verdict: Copa Club Bogota Review
The Copa Club Bogota is a small but solid lounge for Star Alliance passengers that may not find seating or comfort in the often busy Avianca VIP Lounge Gold. The tradeoff of course is that the food options are actually far more limited at the Copa Club Bogota. That being said:
- Is it worth arriving early to visit this lounge? Probably not. If you’re looking to get a meal before your flight, look elsewhere. However, when it comes to getting work done or just escaping the terminal, this is a solid choice.
- What sets it apart? Its atmosphere is quite nice, and feels more premium than what I experienced at the Avianca VIP Lounge Gold Bogota.
