Following my flight from London to Paris on Air France, I was pleasantly surprised by the Courtyard by Marriott Paris Saint-Denis hotel, and I’m glad I selected it for this short stay.

Overview
Built in 2010, this hotel features 150 rooms across five floors. Located in the town of Saint Denis, it is technically in a Parisian suburb. It is geographically closer to Le Bourget airport, and is also located near a convenient metro stop, Carrefour Pleyel, which serves line 13.
Arrival & Check-In
The check-in process at the Courtyard Paris Saint Denis was thankfully quick and straightforward, which I was thankful for given that we had been delayed on our way to Paris and it was past midnight by the time I arrived at the hotel. I handed over my documents and credit card, and was swiftly checked in. I didn’t bother asking for an upgrade, I just wanted a bed.
Room & Features

My stay for the night was in room 419, a king bed, deluxe guest room.

The room had great lighting, and my first impression was that it was a very nice and modern room. Also, you immediately can tell that the air conditioning unit in this room was not wimpy; it was fantastic.

It was a recently refurbished room, and featured a desk with a lamp, a TV, a luggage rack, and a mini fridge.

Right by the mini fridge and the desk lamp was a kettle.

Which you could use to make coffee or tea. Additionally, on the desk was an ice bucket and a refillable water bottle for drinking water.

Toward the entrance, you could find a closet, where hangars, a safe box, iron and an ironing board, and a hair dryer were all located.

The restroom was pretty spacious and featured a great light-up mirror.

It also featured a walk-in shower.

In the shower, you’d find a catch-all French soap brand that doubled as shampoo and body wash. A fancier Axe for Men!
Dining
The Courtyard Paris Saint Denis has one restaurant on site, named Kitchen & Bar. Here, you’ll find breakfast in the mornings, and it is open daily from 6:00AM to 10:00AM.

As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, I was offered complimentary breakfast since there was no lounge on the property, and Courtyard hotels outside the U.S. offer this perk.

Of course, there was plenty of bread on offer, including pastries. Cold cuts, salad, fruits, and vegetables were also available. Additionally, you could also find yogurt, butter, and cheeses.

For hot food options, they offered chicken, scrambled eggs, hash browns, and bacon.

There are floor-to-ceiling windows, and and an outdoor space to sit, so it can be a lovely breakfast indeed!

There was also a toaster and coffee machine.

Finally, there was also a juice and water station.
Amenities & Facilities
The Courtyard Paris Saint Denis has a fitness center on site.
The Courtyard Paris Saint Denis Fitness Center

The center was very small, with a few items on offer.

This included a water station inside the center.

Near the fitness center, you can also find restrooms.
Business Center

The Courtyard Paris Saint Denis has a small, one computer business center you can work on.
Location & Accessibility
Located near Paris, the Courtyard Paris Saint Denis can be an affordable option for travelers looking to visit Paris. The hotel is situated in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis, approximately a five-minute walk from the Carrefour Pleyel metro station (Line 13).
Value & Redemption
At €111 a night with the standard rate, plus complimentary breakfast thanks to my Titanium status, I found this stay to be of great value. Most of the other hotels started at €200+ a night.
Final Verdict: Courtyard Paris Saint Denis Review
The Courtyard Paris Saint Denis is a nice option for the cost-conscious. It is conveniently located near a metro stop, and if you happen to be flying into Le Bourget airport, it is even closer to you! The room was very modern and refreshed, with plenty of space. The breakfast was solid, and had everything I expected and a little more. Service was probably standard for France, in that it didn’t go above and beyond, but for a Courtyard, I was more than happy with what I received. It gets some points knocked off because of the location, but don’t let that deter you! I’d absolutely stay here again.
