After arriving from my Lufthansa Business Class flight from Washington, DC, I made my way to my connecting flight to Berlin. Today’s our flight was on an Airbus A319, operated by Lufthansa City. While the flight was average, it was definitely quick, painless, and efficient, as the Germans intended it to be. Take a look at my Lufthansa City Economy Class review.

Preflight
Prior to the flight, I had a chance to swing by Lufthansa’s Senator Lounge in Munich, courtesy of my Star Alliance Gold status with United Premier 1K. Had I not had status, I would’ve had access to the Lufthansa Business Lounge, which is a step below the Senator Lounge.

After the lounge, I made my way to Gate G32 to board the bus that would take us to the aircraft that would by flying us over to Berlin.

I also love that Lufthansa crew get to write or draw creative welcomes!

Since we were boarding this aircraft from the ramp, there was ample opportunity to snap a few pics.

And once we were taxiing, the scenes around Munich airport were lovely.

Seat & Cabin
Today’s flight was onboard an Airbus A319-100, with a capacity for 150 passengers.

Upon entering the aircraft, there is little indication that this is any different from a traditional Lufthansa aircraft. Economy class features the same Recaro slimline seats, laid out in a 3-3 configuration.
The seats are tight, with limited legroom. For this short hop to Berlin, this is fine, but I wouldn’t want to be in this seat for more than two hours. Thankfully, I managed to book exit row seats, which gave me extra leg room.
Dining & Beverages
As is the case with most of the Lufthansa Group, Lufthansa City Airlines has refreshments for purchase. Complimentary on this flight was a bottle of water.

And you can’t forget the pre-arrival Lufthansa chocolate!

Service & Crew
Service was quick and basic Crew was kind, but on such a short flight there wasn’t much expected.
Final Verdict
Service on this flight was fine, but expectations were not high. For such a short service, I appreciated being on a refreshed, clean aircraft. Nothing to note, but nothing to complain about either!
Overall Rating: 7/10
