Following some time at the American Express Lounge Bogota, which is located inside the El Dorado Lounge, I decided to take a quick and abbreviated tour of the main lounge area and see what all is offered.

Today, I accessed the lounge with my American Express Platinum Card as I made my way to the American Express Lounge located in the El Dorado Lounge. I could have also used my Priority Pass membership to access the main El Dorado Lounge.
Atmosphere & Seating

Upon entering the lounge area on the departures level, you are directed downstairs to the main lounge. If you have access to the American Express Lounge you’ll be let in by the front desk staff, but otherwise you’ll be directed to the main lounge area. There’s plenty of seating throughout the lounge, which is great for both families and solo travelers.

The lounge is very spacious, and has a great atmosphere thanks to what I believe is a tasteful design.

There was a desk area for folks looking to get some work done.

There were also more isolated rooms that had TVs and seating, most likely for families or groups traveling together.

There were also other TV seating areas in the lounge.

With a dedicated entertainment area.

There were also daybeds that allowed guests to kick back and get some shuteye.

At the very back of the lounge, you can find a nice bar area with additional seating.

And for those traveling with kids, you’ll find a dedicated jungle-themed area where kids can run around!
Food & Beverage

The El Dorado Lounge Bogota has a dedicated restaurant area with plenty of dining tables and a buffet. However, I didn’t get to actually try out any of the food, there is menu that is provided at the front desk when you check-in to the lounge.

There are also drink stations scattered around, and the very nice bar at the very back of the lounge.
Wi-Fi & Connectivity
Complimentary WiFi was available and worked well.
Cleanliness & Facilities
The lounge was overall kept tidy and clean.
Amenities
The El Dorado Lounge Bogota offers showers, conference rooms, and a spa as premium amenities at a cost.

I didn’t get a chance to check out the showers, but I did make a reservation for a massage at Wuin Spa. To reserve, I texted over WhatsApp and confirmed my appointment.

The massage prices are provided at the front desk.
Final Thoughts & Verdict: El Dorado Lounge Bogota Review
The El Dorado Lounge Bogota is one of the nicer options at Bogota El Dorado airport, serving premium cabin and elite passengers from various airlines. It is a spacious lounge that has plenty of seating and solid amenities. That being said:
- Is it worth arriving early to visit this lounge? Possibly. There’s nothing that warrants you arriving early to use this lounge, but I do appreciate a good massage, and this lounge offers that! But if it came down to a preflight meal, I might look elsewhere since dining services can also cost money, depending on what you’d like to eat.
- What sets it apart? The space and seating options. It is a large lounge with plenty of seating, and they even have displays of gold pieces to view.
Overall Rating: 8.2/10
