After visiting the Saudia Lounge at London Heathrow and Blush Lounge, I finally made my way to the Plaza Premium lounge. One level lower than the Saudia Lounge, it takes the space of the former SkyTeam London Heathrow lounge.

I entered the Plaza Premium London Heathrow T4 lounge with my Amex Platinum credit card. Please note that access is limited to two hours for credit card and lounge membership holders.
Atmosphere & Seating
Upon entering, you can see that this lounge is decorated similarly to the Saudia lounge upstairs, specifically looking at the floor. For those that remember the old SkyTeam lounge, it also maintains that same layout.

The lounge measures approximately 766 square meters, accommodating up to 147 guests. It was absolutely packed the first time I tried to enter, and I was instead directed to the Plaza Premium-operated Blush Lounge. It was still packed when I was finally allowed in, but there were a few more seats.

There were different pockets of seating throughout the lounge.

The floor-to-ceiling windows also gave great views of the aircraft outside. There were also private seating pods that I missed that seemed to be great for working.
Food & Beverage

The Plaza Premium London Heathrow T4 offers a complimentary buffet, which has several breads and pastries available.

The food options included cold and hot dishes. They had a limited salad bar, with mixed greens, cucumbers, tomatoes, corn, and carrots.

Some of the hot dishes included roasted potatoes, rice, and a vegetable chili.

They also had beef meatballs and a missing creamy pasta.

For soups, they had Tuscan Style Ribollita soup and an Italian Chicken and Caramilized Onion soup.

There was a beverage station with plenty of soft drinks, wine, and complimentary liquor.

Wi-Fi & Connectivity
Complimentary WiFi was available, but I didn’t get a chance to try it.
Cleanliness & Facilities
The lounge wasn’t completely dirty, but with the number of people present, it wasn’t tidy either.
Amenities
The Plaza Premium London Heathrow T4 offers shower suites, meditation rooms, and a family area.

I didn’t get a chance to check out the amenities, given my short stay.

The meditation rooms and shower suites are located at the left-most end of the lounge, where the old oxygen bar used to be when it was a SkyTeam lounge.

To reserve an amenity, you’ll have to talk to the front desk.
Final Thoughts & Verdict: Plaza Premium London Heathrow T4 Review
The Plaza Premium London Heathrow T4 is one of the most accessible lounges at Heathrow’s Terminal 4. Several credit cards and lounge memberships offer guests access, and anyone willing to pay can access the lounge. Therefore, it is a less-than-exclusive lounge that can really get overrun with passengers during peak times. That being said:
- Is it worth arriving early to visit this lounge? Absolutely not. If you’re looking for a complimentary meal, then perhaps it would be worth it before a long intercontinental flight, but the atmosphere and absolute madhouse it becomes really isn’t worth any extra effort.
- What sets it apart? I suppose how busy it gets? And I don’t mean that positively. Honestly, if you’re open to paying for access, consider going to Gulf Air Falcon Gold Lounge, which costs nearly the same (£43). It has a better selection of food, more space, and a relaxing environment. You can see my full review of that lounge.
Overall Rating: 7/10
