If you’re looking to catch some California sun, look no further than Los Angeles! Right now, American Airlines is running a special between McAllen and Brownsville to Los Angeles thru Dallas and Austin; unfortunately, this results in an overnight layover in Austin, but that sometimes the added price of cheap tickets.
