Prague is a beautiful European capital city that is often underrated, being overshadowed by places like London, Paris, and Rome. The fact is that Prague has a vibrant life to it, it’s unique, and best of all it gives you the biggest bang for your American buck as it is one of the most affordable European capitals to visit! Be warned, Czechia doesn’t use the Euro, so if you’re planning to visit other countries that do use the Euro, don’t convert your spending money into Czech Koruna.
Fare #1: McAllen/Harlingen/Brownsville to Prague, CZ Round-Trip for $695

- Need Passport?: Yes
- Need Visa?: No (US and Mexican Passports are exempt from visa requirements)

The first fare is from McAllen to Prague with American and their oneworld partners Iberia and British Airways, which you can see here. If the link on Google Flights doesn’t work, just try to recreate the trip with the dates at American’s website.
This is a transatlantic Basic Economy fare, so there will be restrictions. To see American Airlines Basic Economy restrictions, click here.
I recommend signing up for British Airways’ Executive Club frequent flyer program to credit your travel there. They have a “household” option, where you and your partner or family can credit points you earn to a bank, allowing you to grow your point stash faster!

- Fare Type: Basic Economy

- Where Should You Credit?: United Airlines MileagePlus Program
The second fare is almost identical, just on United Airlines and their partners, which you can see here. To see and mess around with dates and times, click here. If the link on Google Flights doesn’t work, just try to recreate the trip with the dates and times at United’s website.
This is also a Basic Economy fare, so I recommend taking a look at United’s Basic Economy restrictions.
